Historical Villa in Latte - A Treasure of Liguria's Architectural Heritage

This unique villa, with an area of 1200 m2, is located in the picturesque village of Latte, in a prestigious area near the French Riviera and Monaco. Commissioned by Sir Hanbury on November 20, 1889, architect William Douglas Caroe designed this villa, which was completed in 1891. The architecture of the building reflects the best traditions of mature Victorian Gothic, also known as "High Victorian." The villa stands out with its rustic sandstone masonry, expressive vertical elements, and contrasting façade openings.

The striking combination of symmetry and classical forms, the use of wooden ceilings, and roofing structures create a characteristic image reminiscent of English palaces, while simultaneously incorporating elements of classicism, Renaissance, and Eastern aesthetics.
